Jaguar Student Activities Center

The Jaguar Student Activities Center (JSAC) opened in the fall of 2006.  It is completely funded by student fees and serves as the primary building where registered student organizations schedule meetings and events.  The JSAC houses six event and meeting spaces as well as an outdoor plaza.  The JSAC also includes two TV lounges; a cyber-café; a game room that offers billiards, table tennis, and video games; a fitness center with cardiovascular equipment, weight machines, dumbbells, and locker rooms; massage chairs; and several seating areas for socializing and eating.  The JSAC food court offers smoothies, coffee, pizza, sub sandwiches, a menu that includes a variety of chicken, salads, and wraps, as well as a variety of grab-and-go food items.

JSAC Operations is an office that functions under the Department of Student Services, which operates under the Division of Student Affairs.  The JSAC is managed by the Assistant Director for Student Center Operations.  A second professional staff manages the JSAC reservations and supervises the JSAC Event Staff.  A third professional staff manages the daily operations for the office, manages the paperwork for student employees and assists with supervising student employees.  Student Assistants work in the JSAC to manage the daily operations of the facility including audio-visual support for events, staffing the Information Desk, Fitness Center, and Game Room, and provide setup and breakdown of each event.
