Call Forwarding

Note: These instructions are for use on Comdial and Single Line Telephones. To use the Call Forward feature on a P-Phone, the Call Forward button must be present.
 





 
To Activate

  1. Listen for DIAL TONE
  2. Dial Activation Code *74
  3. Listen for SPECIAL DIAL TONE
  4. Dial station number you are forwarding to
  5. Listen for ringing

    Note: If a BUSY TONE or no answer is received, it is necessary to repeat the same steps within a two-minute period to activate. When this is done, you will receive a CONFIRMATION TONE.
     
     
     
     

     
  6. Advise station user of Call Forwarding
  7. Your calls will be forwarded until you Cancel from original phone

  8. If trying to activate Call Forwarding and you get an error message, your phone is currently forwarded. You must Cancel Call Forwarding before proceeding.
  9. No rings will be heard from desk when your number is forwarded ON campus
  10. Half ring will be heard from desk when your number is forwarded OFF campus
  11. Voice Mail that answers will be on Call Forwarded number

To Cancel

  1. Feature must be canceled from phone number where Call Forward was activated
  2. Listen for DIAL TONE
  3. Dial deactivation code *73
  4. Listen for CONFIRMATION TONE
  5. Hang up
