Test Consists

Taurine, threonine, serine, asparagine, glutamic acid, glutamine, proline, glycine, alanine, citrulline, a-amino-n-butyric acid, valine, cystine, methionine, isoleucine, leucine, tyrosine, phenylalanine, b-alanine, ornithine, lysine, histidine, and arginine.

Specimen Requirements

4.0 mL blood

Volume and Container

4.0 mL green top heparinized blood tube

Storage and Transport

Heparinized plasma is stored frozen until ready for transport to Mayo Medical Laboratory Rochester
