Collection Guidelines

Collect blood following a 12-14 hour fast.

Limitations and Contraindications

Fasting <12 hours or intake of alcohol during the 24 hours prior to blood collection may invalidate test results.

Interpretation

Increased Apo B-containing lipoproteins is associated with an increased risk of developing atherosclerotic disease.
